What is the Workshop all about?

17th January 2027 10am - 3pm Join this creative and inspiring exploration of the beautiful designs of William Morris, one of Britain's most celebrated designers and founder of the Arts and Crafts Movement. Drawing inspiration from Morris's famous patterns such as Strawberry Thief, Willow Boughs and Golden Lily, you'll learn how to transform flowers, leaves and natural forms into decorative repeat patterns before creating your own printing block in easy-cut lino. You'll experiment with colour, pattern and composition to produce a collection of unique prints, cards and decorative artworks. The workshop will be led by a professional artist and teacher in a comfortable, enthusiastic atmosphere. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and more experienced artists alike, with plenty of support and opportunities for individual creativity. *(it might be worth noting that the lino material we use is of the easy-cut variety. However, if you have significant mobility issues in your hands then this may not be the workshop for you.
