Boost Team Morale and Reduce Stress with a Creative Art Workshop for
Your Staff
Why is Art so great for staff wellbeing?
By using art therapy style projects, teams can collaborate and explore their creativity, finding new ways to think and perform and this can improve work-related stress and improve a general feeling of wellbeing. Added to this its also great fun!
Work stress often stems from hidden burdens, with men often masking pressures of work behind annual leave. Cortisol, the 'stress hormone', surges under pressure and when relieved it can be transformative.
Encouragingly, addressing this within the workplace, yields benefits—reduced stress fosters adaptability, creativity, and improved work relationships.
Why choose me and my art workshops?
I have a BEd. Hons degree in art and design and many years of experience. I also have a certificate in drama therapy and a level 4 Diploma in Art therapy, which gives me a rounded, confident base on which to offer a workshop that delivers fun, relaxation and a little learning on how to use art to manage stress going forward.
My art activities unite colleagues in enjoyable and insightful ways, promoting creative thinking and problem-solving. Moreover, they can reduce anxiety, fostering well-being amid the natural desire for challenge and mental stimulation.
Art, irrespective of skill, activates brain regions linked to pleasure, releasing dopamine, the 'feel-good' hormone. Therapeutically, art engagement encourages self-reflection, enhancing confidence, awareness of strengths, and creative problem-solving.
In one study: 'Overall, the cortisol levels were lowered after art making for approximately 75% of the sample.' Girija Kaimal, Kendra Ray, and Juan Muniz
In humans, the drive for productivity tends to be motivated by a set of overlapping natural desires. These include a desire to be challenged and mentally stimualted...' Psychology Today
